Up Green Roofs Mechanically Fixed Roofing Membrane Aluminium Vapour Barrier for Roofs Self-Adhesive Roofing Membrane References
Aluminium Vapour Barrier:

-
Our Aluminium Vapour Barrier is designed for use in roof
constructions where extremely high vapour resistance is required, usually where
the roof waterproofing is a singly-ply polymer membrane.
-
Our Aluminium Vapour Barrier has a very high resistance to tearing under
foot traffic and is therefore particularly suitable for use on profiled metal
decking.
-
Our Aluminium Vapour Barrier , correctly installed, is absolutely vapour
tight. It can therefore be used in buildings with extreme internal
conditions (e.g. swimming pools, saunas, kitchens, bathrooms, etc.)
-
Our Aluminium Vapour Barrier , on plywood, oriented strand board, or
timber, can be applied directly without a primer, provided the timber substrate
is free from dust or grease.
-
Our Aluminium Vapour Barrier , where it has to be left exposed as a
temporary waterproofing membrane, must be bonded to the substrate. For
resistance to wind uplift, porous substrates (e.g. concrete or unplaned timber)
should be fully primed with our primer.
-
Laps must be a minimum 40mm wide. These can be sealed without primer.
Alternatively, laps can be sealed by hot-air welding. In all cases, laps
must be rolled down firmly with a hand roller.
-
Our Aluminium Vapour Barrier , when installed on profiled metal decks,
should be laid in the direction of the deck with side laps fully supported on
the corrugations. End laps should be minimum 150mm.
